John O'Brien is a graduate student at Penn State, studying additive manufacturing. As an undergrad at Penn State, John fell in love with the sport, rowing all four years, and continued training for post-collegiate competition at Penn A.C. on Philadelphia's Boathouse Row. Coming back to State College, the chance to give back to the community through State College Area Rowing presented itself and there was no way to turn down this opportunity to develop love of the sport.
