Tara Wyckoff is on faculty at Penn State where she teaches undergraduate students in the advertising/public relations major. Although she is new to rowing, she has served as a parent volunteer for over ten years in various youth sports organizations. Also, she has held volunteer positions with the American Cancer Society as the board president, State College Area School District as a strategic communication committee member and Colleges Against Cancer as a faculty advisor. She's excited to help build the organization and hopes to get on the water herself some day soon.
Tara Wyckoff - President
John O'Brien is a graduate student at Penn State, studying additive manufacturing. As an undergrad at Penn State, John fell in love with the sport, rowing all four years, and continued training for post-collegiate competition at Penn A.C. on Philadelphia's Boathouse Row. Coming back to State College, the chance to give back to the community through State College Area Rowing presented itself and there was no way to turn down this opportunity to develop love of the sport.

Mike Sullivan - Treasurer
Mike Sullivan is a 4 time entrepreneur, with an extensive background in endurance sports. Having completed 30+ marathons and an Ironman, he believes sport is a valuable teacher for life. While rowing is also new to Mike, he does have experience on the indoor erg's as a complementary cross training routine. Mike brings more than 20 years of non-profit experience, including having worked as a volunteer coordinator for a youth mentoring program, The Pennsylvania Special Olympics and Nitany Ballet, amongst others. Mike brings both his development and program experience to the club. He's excited to help create a supportive environment that will build a lifetime of memories for these student athletes.
Denice Wardrop-Heller - Secretary
Denice is a State College community member and rower, who developed a passion for the sport while at the University of Virginia.
Dan Eck - Equipment Chair
Daniel Eck has been a part of the rowing community since 1970 when he started rowing with Villanova University and was a 4 year team member. After graduation in 1974, He joined Malta Boat Club in Philadelphia and remains a member today. In 2013, he became a licensed assistant referee with US Rowing, #1284. When not rowing in Philadelphia, he rows a recreational single at Lake Perez at Shavers Creek.
