Welcome to State College Area Rowing
About Us
State College Area Rowing (SCAR) was started the spring of 2019 by a high school student interested in exploring rowing. The mission of the club is to educate and provide opportunities for area youth and adults to learn the discipline and teamwork involved with rowing both competitively and recreationally.
The SCAR rowing calendar consists of two competitive seasons, Fall and Spring. The fall season consists of two regattas, and the spring season involves 4-5 regattas. The team practices on the beautiful Foster Joseph Sayers Reservoir at Bald Eagle State Park.
The club has federal tax-exempt status as a 501(c)3 charitable and educational organization.
